Pre-Nuptial and Post-Nuptial
A prenuptial and postnuptial agreement are essentially the same; they only differ in when that document is created and signed.
A prenuptial agreement is drafted and signed before the marriage, and a postnuptial agreement is drafted and signed after the marriage.
Both types of agreements outline property division in the event of separation or divorce. Couples may also make arrangements for child custody and support in these types of agreements.
